Eden Wild Goose Community Choir
The Goose has flown during lockdown, although we are 'meeting' on line for some virtual choir recordings.
When we resume... this applies...
We usually meet on Thursdays at 7.30pm-9pm in Wetheral Church, CA4 8HA.
It is a choir for all ages and musical abilities with no auditions required. We are led by the experienced musician Jerry King. The aims are to enjoy ourselves, meet new people, build community and maybe even boost our personal health and well being. The choir is open to anyone and everyone. There is a suggested minimum donation of £2.50 per session.
If you would like more information about the choir or Eden Wild Goose or if you would like to come along for the first time, please contact me on 01228 561358 or graemevicarofeden@gmail.com

Christmas is coming; 'God rest ye merry, gentlemen'
We have made another virtual recording. ‘God rest ye merry, gentlemen’.
On Sunday 20th December from 5pm there will be a live broadcast of carols from Facebook “Eden Wild Goose” (you do not need to be a Facebook user to view this). Some musicians from St Paul’s Holme Eden will sing carols by the Christmas tree. We will also be placing a few other items into this programme, including a pre-recorded carol from The Eden Wild Goose Community Choir

Music score
‘May love and laughter light your days,
And warm your heart and home,
My good and faithful friends be yours,
Wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world,
With joy that long endures,
May all life’s passing seasons bring the best,
The best to you and yours.’

‘VE’ll meet again’
VE Day 75th Anniversary local online event on 8th May.
To mark the anniversary, people were invited to share pictures of objects, scenes or people that link to their families’ experience or memories of WWII and Victory in Europe Day. This was run by Eden Wild Goose Storytelling – another part of the EWG. The Socially Distanced Eden Wild Goose Community Choir performed three songs
