Marriage

We very much welcome people who would like to be married. As parish churches, anyone who lives in the parish or is on the electoral roll of the church is entitled to be married at their local parish church. If you are divorced and getting remarried, it may still be possible to have a service celebrating your new marriage by means of a blessing. To see if you live in our parish, please type your postcode into this website.

We're thrilled when people get married because marriage is a gift from God to everyone. We're keen to support those who enter married life and so we offer a preparation day for those having their service at our churches. These are designed to help couples understand and plan their services, as well as to prepare for life together as a married couple.

If you live in any of our parishes but are getting married elsewhere, then you may need to have your banns read by us which incurs a small fee. For more information, to book a wedding or arrange to have your banns read please contact the Minister.

In the meantime you may wish to look at the information booklet we give out to all couples who book a wedding with us by clicking here.
