What we Believe
In keeping with the orthodox reformed faith of the Church of England, we believe there is one God in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God the Father created and sustains the heavens and the earth. He loves each of us personally and knows our thoughts and needs. He has sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to bring hope and restoration for the future.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son who entered the world and shared our human nature. He lived a perfect life in obedience to God and willingly died on the cross. He bore the punishment our sins deserve and his death and resurrection bring forgiveness and eternal life to all who put their trust in him. He has sent the Holy Spirit to strengthen and support us as we prepare for his return when he will judge all peoples.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit helps us to come to faithfully believe in Jesus Christ. He helps us to become more like Him and empowers us to live as Christians in the world. He builds us up into God’s family, the Church where he enables us to worship God in spirit and in truth.
We believe that the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ is for the whole world and we seek to share it with all people.
